NEW: "Europe's Digital Hotspots 2010"

Prague, July 10, 2010

Today, ICT is a large industry, every country publishes statistics, tells the world how important ICT is there, the European Union tries to catapult Europe to the top of the charts – yet,

if both Europeans and non-Europeans want to know, what is actually happening in ICT in Europe, they would have to browse thousands of websites and compile innumerable data on companies, universities, clusters, public organisations, initiatives etc.

We’ve done that work for you.

And we’ve picked out the highlights, put together charts and collections of deep links and overviews, and tried to categorize everything to give you easy access to this vast compilation of industry specific information, and to let you have an idea of what is happening where, how and why.

This publication identifies and describes Europe’s most interesting places
in terms of research & development, lists the clusters and technology parks, explains networks and provides tons of carefully categorised data.

Of course, this publication is not complete – it would be simply too much. But it is a competent and concise summary - as this book is an online publication, you can go deeper into the matter you chose and try to get vertical insight.

We think that many Europeans, but even more readers outside Europe, will be surprised about the range of competence and offerings.

Who should read this book?
ICT entrepreneurs and managers responsible for export, partner search, technology transfer and investment abroad, government officials who are in charge of national and international ICT related strategies, national investment agencies, universities interested in contacts to businesses, networkers and, last but not least, the press.

The book contains four volumes
which are divided into countries. Europe is still based on national structures, only in a few cases clusters cross borders or are based on cross border regions.

The publication is supposed to be reader friendly
, well structured and helpful. Texts are in .pdf, charts and sortable tables in .xls, and links have time saving explanations. All subscribers get regular updates, so as to make best use of the WWW.

The book is a digital product, but can be ordered in a print edition, too. It consists of four chapters, available on

  • September 1st,
  • October 1st,
  • November 2nd and
  • December 1, 2010.

If you book until August 31, 2010, you profit from a 30% discount.

An alternative would be to sit down and find and browse thousands of websites, squeeze the last drop out of search machines and databases, read, compare, make notes. That’s gonna cost you some time. And money.

That’s why we did it. We had a good pint of departure: We know the European ICT landscape. So we could pick out the highlights and describe, what is happening in Europe’s ICT businesses and research activities and where.

The texts are easy to read, the (deep) links are, of course, clickable, the lists and rankings can be sorted according to your needs, and there’s a lot of additional materials such as brochures, studies, strategies and databases for download.
