Beyond Austria: Review on the ICT export symposium in Sopron, Hungary, Oct. 2, 2005
Hungary is a most interesting market for knowledge based services. A symposium in Sopron, Hungary, on Oct. 2 and 3, 2005, organized by Austria’s ICT association ubit and the Foreign Trade Organisation of Austria’s Federal Chamber of Commerce WKO offered plenty of information and matchmaking for Austrian and Hungarian ICT consultants.
The event was opened by Friedrich Bock, head of ubit, and the Commercial Counsellor at the Austrian Embassy in Budapest, Peter Rejtö, accompanied by several honorary guests, such as the Mayor of Sopron, Walter Deszö, and the president of Hungary’s ICT association IVSZ, Zsoltan Kovács. Sándor Kürti, CEO of Hungary’s reknowned anti virus specialist KÜRT, spoke on the importance of security as a key factor in a European ICT strategy. Günther Krumpak, head of ITBeurope, presented teambuilder, a new Austrian database for international consulting projects.
The event was also a first test for a new matchmaking software organising the numerous 1:1 talks at the event. The software will soon be installed on ITBeurope’s web portal to offer online matchmaking schedules for ICT events worldwide.
