Germany is among the leading countries worldwide based on the number of broadband Internet connections. In other areas, such as E-Government, Germany still has significant potential for improvements. These are two of the major insights of the project "Monitoring the Information Economy", which are now published in the 7th Factual Report.
Every year TNS Infratest Business Intelligence, the desk research and consulting service of the TNS Group, conducts a survey on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour (BMWA). This detailed report gives an overview of the status of the German Information Economy and analyses the sectors Information Technology, Telecommunications, Mobile Communication, Internet and E-Commerce with respect to their market structures, infrastructural preconditions and applications. In an international benchmark Germany is compared with leading regions worldwide.
The Factual Report is accompanied by a chart report which contains a selection of illustrations with the most important results of the Monitoring project as well as by a management summary which summarises the key insights of the Factual and the Trend Report.
